Toni’s role as a dental hygienist largely involves preventive dental care and periodontal therapy. Her role also includes administrative, sterilization, disinfection, and cleaning responsibilities. Her favorite part about her job is interacting with her coworkers at Hoffman Dental.

“Dr. Cheryl and Dr. Tom genuinely care about their patients and their staff.” - Toni

With over 30 years of experience, her initial interest in dentistry began in college when her dentist recommended she pursue it as a career. Toni says, “having a job where you help others is the secret to having a happy life.”

She wants to help others, especially those that suffer from dental anxiety. “Prior to cleaning anyone's teeth, I always ask my patients if they have any general concerns or if they have any sensitive areas that I should know about. This gets the conversation started which can relieve some fear and anxiety.”

Toni received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene at Baylor College of Dentistry, Carruth School of Dental Hygiene. She’s licensed by the State of Ohio Dental Board and holds a certification in Healthcare C.P.R. from the American Red Cross.

In her free time, Toni enjoys nightly walks with her husband and their dog, Malibu, around Northam Park; watching movies, volunteering at their church and at International Friendships, and singing. Originally raised in the Mojave Desert in California, as a child Toni enjoyed feeding the wild tortoises that lived nearby.
